SPECIALIZED OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Camp5Sunnyhill Adventures Specialized Weeklong Overnight Camp (all ages, all disabilities) – June 19-August 19, 2022. $750 for 1:5 group ratio.  Waitlist for 1:1 campers at this time.
Wonderland Camp Specialized Weeklong Overnight Camp (ages 6-65+, all disabilities) – May 22-August 5, $950 per week + option to bring your own 1:1 caregiver for $100. Tori-Barnabas 2022
Camp Barnabas Specialized Weeklong Overnight Camp (all ages and disabilities grouped by weeks, sibling weeks available), June 5-August 12, $1,500 per week. ~ Volunteers age 13 and older are needed to be camp assistants. Camp Video
Camp MoValAdventures in the Community Adult (ages 18 and older) Special Needs Adventure Camp, August 7-12, Cost: $500.  We have a beautiful lake, an archery range, plenty of hiking, and cabin camping. Special needs campers must be able to negotiate camp environment with little or no supervision.  Family Camp – July 7-9, $100 per person.camp7 Enjoy a self-directed 3-day getaway to enjoy the beauty of nature and take part in some of our activities such as canoeing, campfires, and more. No supervision is provided for Family Camp, so sign up a caregiver if you need supervision for your disability.

Special Olympics Summer Camp, Specialized Weeklong Overnight Camp for all ages. Camp Dates: June 26-July 1, 2022.  Athletes of Special Olympics experience sports, fishing, art, nature, health, and more at the Training-For-Life Campus in Jefferson City, MO. Cost: $300.

Camp MITIOG~ Specialized Youth Overnight Camp, Lake Doniphan near Kansas City, MO.  MITIOG is a week-long camp that serves children with Spina Bifida. Children participate in regular camping activities including swimming, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, naturecamp3 classes, classes on self-help medical care and evening campfires.
Camp Rainbow (cancer and blood disorders), Specialized Overnight Mini-Camp sessions for ages 6-18 who have cancer or blood disorders.  Teen camp ages 14-18 on April 22-24; Overnight Camp for ages 6-13 on June 11-14; DAY camp option for ages 4-6 on June 11-13; Sibling camp on June 15-18, 2022.  Cost: FREE!  Held at Babler State Park. camp9Camp Courage, Specialized ADULT Mini Camp, Stewartsville, MO, 9201 N Campbell Ct. ~ Kansas City, MO 64155.  June 2-5, 2022 ~ Cost: $200 ~ Camp Courage Missouri is a unique program that caters to adults ages 21 and older, giving them a typical camping experience with programs, parties & friends on an adult level.  Participants must have community safety & personal care skills.

DASA, CampWeCanDu,  Specialized Overnight camp for youth with physical and hearing disabilities, June 19-24, 2022 at Babler State Park, Wildwood, MO; Cost: $350 early bird-$400 regular fee. Camp provides youth with physical disabilities to fully participate in a week-long, traditional summer camp experience full of fun activities and friendship. Contact DASA to inquire on availability.
NextEd Challenge-Specialized Young Adult Adventure at Washington University. Run by the Arc, this summer overnight camp for youth ages 18-25 is an adventure of independent living and community recreation.  July 18-22, Cost: $1,000. Day program available (see below) for those not wishing an overnight experience.
Succeed Summer Enrichment Camp, June 6-10 or July 25-29, 2022. ages 17-22. Cost: $600. Campers live on the UMSL campus, participate in campus activities, and learn how to live independently.  Contact Succeed to inquire on availability.

Specialized Youth and Family DAY CAMPS

Variety’s Adventure Day Camp FREE weeks of summer day camp for youth with disabilities. Summer 2023 camp registration begins in January 2023 and fills fast. 
Train Your Brain, Wash U OT Services, half-day Specialized Youth Day Camp for ages 9-16 who have poor attention, planning, and organization skills. 3 sessions in July. Cost: $100.
Sophia TreehouseTREEHouse Summer Horse Camp, Specialized Day Camp for ages 6 and older; Cost: $450 per week, 4 hours per day.  June 6-10 | June 20-24 | July 11-15 | July 25-29 ~ Only 4 slots per week.  Need some riding skills, youth without disabilities are welcome. 
Harbor Unlimited Specialized Family Day Camp Retreat (all ages & all disabilities), May 28-31, 2022,  $150 for one person, then a sliding scale for each additional caregiver/family member. Located at Strong Tower Horse Ranch in Warrenton, we spend the first half of camp enjoying activities and horsemanship. Then we head to Lake St. Louis for a day of adapted water activities and water skiing in partnership with the MO Disabled Ski Association.  Campers provide their own supervision as needed.
LifeBridge Partnership Specialized Youth Day Camp, August 15-19, 2022, Cost: $125.  Locations in St. Louis County and St. Charles.  St. Louis City residents qualify for a full 9 weeks of camp held at Paraquad in St. Louis from June – August for only $100.Camp6

Virtual Drama Classes for People with Autism, Virtual classes for all teens and adults various ages on improvisation, production, and voice acting. Provider is based in Ohio. Cost is $125.
Focus on Photography: A VIRTUAL Workshop for Youth with Autism, July 6, 13, and 20, 2022 for ages 13-18; Cost: $75. Join us for adventures in photography. Our virtual workshop teaches students the fundamentals of photography, artistic composition, learning to see what makes a good picture and teaching students to use their cell phones to take more creative photographs and tell stories. Dream Big Career Exploration Camp, Specialized Day Camp for ages 14-21 teens with disabilities who are headed to a 2 or 4-year college.  Virtual Camp, June 6-10, COST: $100; In-Person Weeks June 20-24 STEM week; July 11-15 Trade/Tech; July 25-29 Endless Possibilities (Mix of STEM and Trade/Tech) In person Cost: $500 per week. We empower college and tech school bound youth with disabilities to plan their future careers.
St. Louis Arc, Specialized Summer Programs for Teens and Adults, 1177 N. Warson Road, St. Louis, MO  63132. Below are the summer programs: Teens in Motion: This adventurous summer project is for St. Louis County residents ages 13-15 who have intellectual or developmental disabilities to become aware of volunteer and employment options in their community.  Contact Bri Reyes at 314-817-2250. Neighborhood Experiences: This summer program serves St. Louis County and City Residents, ages 16 to 21 who have intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in volunteer and work experiences, achieve personal and career goals, expand their social network, and create a professional resume and portfolio. Camp R&R (STL County only): This is a weekend camping program beginning in August that serves St. Louis County residents ages 7 and older who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and high support needs. NextED Summer Independent Living Experience This is a life skills 5-day interactive program for youth ages 18-25 who want to experience living on their own, learn community skills, and enjoy recreation activities Weeks of August 1-5 and 8-12. Community Non-Specialized Youth DAY CAMPS

Strength and Honor, Inclusive Youth Day Camp, for ages 4-14, weekly from June 6-August 5, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 401 Darst Rd, Ferguson, MO 63135. Cost: $95 per week plus $25 one time registration fee. College for Kids, St. Charles, Traditional Youth Half-Day Camps with sessions for ages 5-14. Held at St. Charles Community College. Cost varies by class from $99-$230.
Camp Invention STEM Camp: Traditional Youth Day Camp for grades K-6.  Locations in St. Louis and St. Charles in June and July.  Cost: $245-$255.
ID Tech Computer Camp, Traditional Youth Day Camp for ages 7-17. Cost: $949-$1,499 per week; located at Washington University.

Whether this is your first time paddling or you’re a bonafide river rat, Big Muddy Adventures has a trip for you. We offer a wide range of options, from hour-long paddles to multi-day expeditions to private island dinners. We supply everything you need, including an experienced guide, double-wide safety canoes, life jackets, and lunch.

Wilderness Inquiry, Gateway to Outdoor Adventures for People with Disabilities: Wilderness Inquiry shares the outdoors with everyone, including persons with intellectual and physical disabilities. Designed for adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and other forms of cognitive disability, Gateway to Adventure (Gateway) is a program that helps people develop the skills they need to enjoy inclusive outdoor recreation activities. Trips cost $800-$1,000 depending on venue selected.

Arc Escapes Travel Program: ADVENTURES FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES: We are so excited that our Arc Escapes trips will be resuming in Fall 2022! Three trips to pick from and Online Registration is OPEN NOW. Spaces are limited, participants. $100 deposit required. Recreation Council voucher eligible for those who qualify.
